H. Moser & Cie. will participate in the Only Watch Charity Auction to raise funds to fight Muscular Dystrophy with a unique piece, the Venturer Concept Only Watch – a red fume dial version of their well-known minimalist timepiece.

Held under the patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco, the Only Watch Charity is organized by the Monegasque Association and is the world’s foremost charity auction entirely devoted to research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Since 2005, more than €25 million have been raised to finance fundamental and applied research in this field.

The dial and white hands are a nod to the Monaco flag

Based on the brand’s minimalist Venturer Concept, this watch will be one among the many unique pieces produced by some of the world’s best known watchmakers that will be auctioned off on November 11, 2017 in Geneva. Around 40 pieces are expected to be offered on the night. All proceeds from the seventh Only Watch charity auction will be donated to research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

H. Moser & Cie. is taking part in this campaign once more with the donation of a unique piece, the Venturer Concept Only Watch. A symbol of life and of renewal, in all its striking force, red takes centre stage in this watch, which showcases a vibrant red fumé dial. This red is beautifully offset by the white finish of the hour and minute hands, in reference to the colors of the flag of Monaco. Earlier this year we saw a  red fumé dial for the first time on the Swiss Mad Watch during SIHH 2017.

The red bridge is again a nod to the prestigious auction

The watch is encased in 39 mm white gold fitted with a sapphire crystal on the dial side and caseback. Part of the H. Moser & Cie. series of Concept watches, the Venturer Concept Only Watch is stripped of any logo or indices. This minimalist approach puts the product itself firmly in the spotlight, abstracted from any marketing or branding concerns, as a reminder that behind every logo lies not just traditional expertise but, most importantly, men and women.

The watch is powered by the hand-cranked HMC 327 movement that guarantees a minimum power reserve of 3 days. Developed and built in-house, the finely finished movement is visible through the sapphire case back, the balance bridge is in striking red to match the dial of the Venturer Concept Only Watch. An original touch in honor of this exceptional charity event. The pre-sale estimate of this watch is $20,000-$30,000.

The Venturer Concept Only Watch will be on display in Monaco during the Monaco Yacht Show, which takes place between September 27 and 30, 2017. The Only Watch 2017 collection will then go on tour, taking in Singapore, Bangkok, Dubai, Istanbul, Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles and, finally, Geneva, from November 9 to 11, 2017.
