Your weekend dinner invitations have nothing on Hip-Hop Moghul Jay-Z. The American rapper sent out a Rolex Daytona as part of a VIP invite to the Shawn Carter Foundation Gala earlier this month.

Rappers Meek Mill and Swizz Beatz used Instagram stories to share pics of their invite. From what we can see, this is a yellow gold Daytona that Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, sent along with the invite and a bottle of his Ace of Spades bubbly.

"Levels. Hov is on another level with the invite game. It came with a Daytona Rolex and a bottle of Ace," wrote Swizz Beatz while Meek Mill posted: "Hov sent these as VIP passes. SMH this rich s*** getting out of control lol."

It is not known just how many of these VIP invites were sent out. A yellow gold Daytona may be worth a significant amount of money (an estimated $40,000) for some but this is loose change for Jay-Z. Forbes reported earlier this year that he is now the first hip-hop artist to become a billionaire. According to the report, Jay-Z has accumulated is wealth through his investments in art, real estate, his streaming service, liquor business, and stakes in companies like Uber.

The Shawn Carter Foundation was set up as a public charity in 2003 by Jay-Z and his mom Gloria Carter. The Foundation says its mission is to help individuals facing socio-economic hardships further their education at post-secondary institutions.

The Gala Weekend on November 15–16, 2019 was hosted at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida. The Foundation’s twitter account posted saying the Gala had raised $6 million for deserving students.
