Swiss brand Roger Dubuis will present a unique Excalibur Aventador S timepiece on Mr Porter as part of the brand’s launch on the luxury ecommerce platform. In addition to this exclusive watch, the online platform will also offer a curated selection from the brand’s catalogue.

The Excalibur Aventador S was built in partnership with high-performance car manufacturer Lamborghini Squadra Corse. The Aventador S, first unveiled in September 2017, was the first timepiece to be born out of a five-year deal between the two brands. The first two models unveiled were made with carbon fiber cases and were limited to just 88 pieces each.

The timepiece is powered by a brand new movement – the 103SQ caliber which housed a double sprung balance with a differential – both placed at 45-degree angle, and “engine strut bars” placed across the movement – a homage to the Lamborghini V12 engine. This hand-wound skeletonized movement, which is composed of 312 components, includes deadbeat-seconds display and has a power reserve of 40 hours.
The Mr Porter edition uses a light and agile black DLC-coated, 45 mm titanium black case. To complement the purchase of this unique timepiece, the owner will be invited to visit the Roger Dubuis Manufacture in Switzerland, followed by an exclusive Lamborghini driving experience throughout the Jura Mountains. The watch is priced at £213,516 (approx. $276,754 or a million dirhams). Don’t reach out for your cheque book yet, the website indicates that this timepiece is already sold out.

In addition to this, Mr Porter will also stock three timepieces from the Roger Dubuis and Pirelli collection, including the Excalibur Spider Pirelli Automatic Skeleton in orange, red and blue accent colors. To recap, each color matches the Pirelli tyre compounds of a Formula One race. Rubber from the winning tyre rubber is used in the creation of every watch strap in this collection; each reference is limited to 88 timepieces available globally.
