The shortlist for the pre-selected watches for the 2019 edition of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) — the watchmaking Oscars — has been unveiled and Bulgari and Zenith lead the pack with five nominations each.

There 14 categories (as well as for the “Aiguille d’Or” award, which recognizes the overall best watch among all the entrants) and while indie brands dominated proceedings at last year’s awards, it remains to be seen which brands triumph this year on November 7 at the Théâtre du Léman in Geneva. So without further ado, here is the shortlist.
