Leaving pandemic blues behind, the fifth edition of Dubai Watch Week got off to a glittering start on November 24th. The show, which the organisers promise to be the most engaging edition yet, has made a name for itself as the pre-eminent cultural platform enabling sharing knowledge, building connections and celebrating watchmaking.
Over the five days visitors will get to experience a host of events including the Horology Forum, Creative Hub and Masterclasses. An impressive selection of watch brand exhibitors have returned to the show in 2021 with 48 leading watch brands confirming participation, including Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Tudor, Hublot and Chopard. Auction house Christie’s will also be on-site to allow visitors to experience the excitement of premium auctions.
Each visitor will receive a special booklet including scratch games and instant wins across all of Dubai Watch Week’s activations. Horology explorers can win big by working their way around the event and collecting stamps from five key locations: the Exhibition Hall, the Collector’s Lounge, Christie’s, the Dial of Discovery and Time to Capture.
Skywards — the loyalty programme of Emirates and flydubai — is offering up to 1,000,000 Skywards Miles to those who can collect all five stamps in their Dubai Watch Week booklets, with 125,000 Miles being given out at random each day. Then, on 28 November, one lucky winner will score a grand prize of 500,000 Skywards Miles as well as a limited-edition timepiece from H. Moser & Cie to expand their horizons beyond everyday life as part of the event’s mission to nurture and inspire.
Visitors will be able to immerse themselves entirely in the culture of art and creativity that Dubai Watch Week represents. British artist Keira Rathbone, will be bringing iconic sights to life using a manual typewriter in the Exhibition Centre; whilst the Atelier du Bracelet will be taking orders for customised and exclusive watch straps.
Running from 24- 28 November, Dubai Watch Week is open to all and free to enter. Further information can be found on dubaiwatchweek.com.
